Well, here we are again. The beginning of another growing season. Every year brings new challenges. This year is having time to work on my plants between feeding and changing Emmett's constant diapers (we go through at least 15 cloth diapers a day) and doing the massive amounts of laundry that come with a baby.
Another challenge is that I decided to start the plants early so I didn't have to worry about them after Emmett arrived. I have now discovered that was not a good idea. I have plants that are more than ready to be planted outside and the frost date is still a few weeks away. I also haven't started some other plants that I wanted to, so those are going to be very late in getting transplanted...sigh.
This year I am going to conquer the weeds (I hope)! I am laying down weed barrier in hopes of not having a weed garden like I ended up with last year, especially since I know I will not have as much time as I need to. Sam's had a 250'x 4' roll for $29, so I had Eric buy it.
I pray everyone else has their starts going as well.
By the way, Happy First Fruits!
