Yes, I still use my Flexi Clips!

On the eve of the of my 4th year with Lilla Rose, I wanted to share with all of you that yes, I still only wear Lilla Rose hair accessories, 90%+ of the time it is the Flexi Clip.

I love how this simple design and genius workings do not damage my hair and can be used with one to 1000 hairstyles that I and my fellow Stylists have come up with over the years. Late at night, you can find me in bed, scanning Pinterest for the latest and greatest hair styles that will work amazingly well with at least 1 of the accessories I sell.

As I become more and more comfortable with helping ladies learn styles, and I find more events that I can spread the Lilla love. It just amazes me how so many don’t want to even bother trying these products.

From the Flexi Clip, the innovative Swerve, to the Strong Hold Bobbies, everything is top quality and  holds even my calf-length thick hair. On the flip, I have customers with extremely thin fine hair and I find ways to make them feel their #EverydayBeauty that God has blessed them with. They just need a new perspective to see it. Which is why I am so excited to be involved with 2 different organizations in the next few months that focus on this very idea. Most ladies are so hard on themselves and look to television and magazines to try to make themselves beautiful, when they already are and just need help seeing what is already there.

I do realize that MLMs have been condemned by many. I realize that some think I’m going to pounce on them to either buy all the time or join my team. But, I’m not like that. As my customers have told me time and again, that they appreciate that I’m straight forward with what will and won’t work in their hair, and when I say something, I mean it. It’s been a year?

Oh my goodness! Please tell me it hasn’t really been over a year since I blogged. Sigh... Life has been so up, down, and all around.

First of all, the positives.
My husband, Eric has become a distributor for Ice Chips Candy. If you would like to learn more about this, you can click over to www.facebook.com/captainicechips.
We have been doing shows together, as a family since September and are loving it. We get to spend the time together, make other people happy with our products, and teach the children how to run a business.

Yes, I am still selling a Lilla Rose hair accessories. I just celebrated my 3rd year in March and I still love it. Homeschool is still going very well. The kids are thriving with the friends they meet at our events. We have all been blessed to meet wonderful people who have become event friends, who we are happy to see, either a couple times a year, to once a year. I believe my children have found how real friendship works in the real world. You don’t get to see your friends everyday like in a brick and mortar school, which sets many up for real depression, once they realize life isn’t what it is in a building with hundreds of kids basically the same age as you. My children have young as well as old friends, that they excitedly talk about before, during, and after events. Yes, I do that too. I’m so happy to be making friends that I don’t have to rely on being there 24/7. I do have most of them as friends on Facebook, we learn about each other in a controlled environment, share ideas, keep each other up to date on different aspects. It’s so nice.

So many things have happened since January... My husband started his own business and we have decided we are done having children.

We have always loved traveling, but with a baby in tow, it is difficult. Our youngest is now 3, so we are able to get rid of baby items and start looking to the future of showing our children our favorite places, and possibly find some new favorite places.
One place we would love to show them is the Caribbean. We went there for our honeymoon and loved everything. Although, with the current status of government overreach, that may not be able to happen.

One thing I have noticed in myself, is that I have become more political. Especially on the front of vaccines. I don’t want to get into a debate, but my children are far healthier than most we come in contact with, because we do not force poisons into their system.
In another post, I may go more into detail, but for now, I really just want to keep my children safe and healthy, by using homeopathy, chiropractic care, and organic foods as much as possible.

I’m tired of the stereotypes!

There is one thing, since joining Lilla Rose, I have found to be extremely annoying. But let's face it. I too used to think that people selling products from home party companies people were way too pushy and was afraid to give my info or even purchase anything, because they would contact you endlessly to either buy more or join their team.

Let's go over a few things that I have learned.

MLM is known as Multi Level Marketing. Please do not confuse with DS, as the compensation arrangements are different. They are not a pyramid scheme! 

Think of it as buying into a franchise, but you get can work from where ever you want, be it online, craft shows, or through a network of friends. 
The top people have to still work hard or they don't make a dime.

Here are a few statistics I have found...
90% do not join to actually make money as a business, that is why they fail. The top 10% only make $100 a month to start. Only the top 2% of any MLM company make 6 figures and have also been with the company for more than 5 years. 

My highest upline just started making 6 figures last year and will be with the company 8 years this year. She has 7000 Stylists under her, yet only 220 or less have any sales in a month. Of those, only 50 or less, have any sales at all, including their own purchases.

So many of us are ousted at craft shows because we don't make the product itself.  We are constantly told our way is the easy way and that handmade products need to have the advantage at all events... What way is easy? It is true that we do not sit and make every single Flexi or hairband, but they ARE handmade for us and if we choose to go to events and have cash and carry items, we have to invest in our business just like anyone else.

Here is a list of brick and mortar building companies with the equivalent of an MLM company:

Lilla Rose really doesn't have a competition since it is a 

patented product with a warranty! You can buy cheap hair accessories at any big box store, but they rip out your hair, damage your hair, give you headaches, and once it breaks, you are left with a piece of garbage.

All the above MLMs exceed industry standards, but since we are not in a brick and mortar building, we get dismissed like we are trying to rip people off. 

I got in this business because I believe in the products, which I can't find in quality, anywhere else. 

You can go to the mall and shop and big CEO's get the money or you can buy from a local mom who has goals for the money she makes. 

These are just a few of my thoughts. Sorry if it is all over the place, but I just needed to get this out, in the open, so that others can see that we are not the same.

A new perspective

I know in the past, I wrote about how I never wear makeup or have my nails painted, as I am more into the all natural.

I wanted to give an update on the things I do differently now.

First off, makeup. I still do not wear a full face of makeup, as I still see that as lying to the world on what you really look like. Since I sell Lilla Rose at events now, I have started wearing a more natural looking eye shadow, mascara and lip stain. Yes, if you come to a show I am at 4-5 times a year, called Oddmall, I will be wearing purple eye shadow and purple lip stain, because that is what the show is about... standing out.

The more natural makeup that I have found is from various companies and with much trial and error.

My eye shadow and eye brushes are from Acti-Labs, which is a MLM from France. It has many natural products, but the palette from last summer was a great choice of colors that didn’t over power and stand out. Once I am done with this palette though, I will be switching to Karity brand, as then, I can choose the shades I want, with many colors to choose from. I also use the Black to do a very tiny eye liner on the top only. I’m not sure it can even be seen, but I know it is there.

For mascara, I love how my lashes look curled, but hate the clumps and fake look of most mascaras give. I asked around to friends and they recommended Clinique Naturally Glossy. I love that it comes in brown, which matches my hair, and the fact it looks like I am not wearing anything!

My lip stain is from LipSense. Yes, another MLM, actually the company is called Senegence. I love that I can put the stain on and it really does last 18 hours. My favorite color is called Caramel Apple, with it I use only the Glossy Gloss.

My nails, I have found that I have stopped biting my nails completely, if I keep a color on them. My favorite lacquers are from OPI and yes, another MLM Jamberry. But, in the past few weeks, I was introduced to yet another MLM, ColorStreet Nails. I am seriously loving these 100% nail polish strips. I like them so much, I have made 2 YouTube videos about them and I’m not even selling them! I have worn 3 sets so far and I have not had any scratches or chipping after wearing them for over a week. The longest I have worn a set is 1 week and 1 day, because I have wanted a change, but when I don’t have an event to go to and can keep them on for up to 2 weeks, I’d like to put them to the test. One huge test I will be putting the through, is the Oddmall event this weekend. Usually, I paint my nails and they do not last the weekend because of how I have to use my fingers to put Flexi Clips in and out of customer’s hair. I have high hopes...

Sooo much in life changes and so fast!

Another item I am liking, but it is not practical for me right now, since I am nursing my youngest, is the maxi dress, which has elbow length sleeves. What a whirlwind January has been! With joining Abby & Anna and keeping up with Instagram and Facebook pasts for each company, I am truly in need of a mental vacation. But that isn't going to happen. I have a big February and March to gear up for. I have 2 huge (2&3 day) events in February and 2 Bridal shows in March.

Boy, has the design team at Lilla Rose been busy! They have come out with some beautiful and festive designs for the month of October.

First, we will start with the Flexi of the Month. Please welcome Fox. He comes as a Day Fox and a Night Fox.

Next, we have a variety of items available if you celebrate Halloween. Jack-E-Lantern, Charlotte's Web, and Bat will make your hair very spooky and dress it up at the same time. There is also a new spooky Bat UPin set to match the Flexi Clip.

Is anyone just loving the Jelly 8 Dragon that came out in June? Well, now there are matching UPins available!

Busy, busy!

My goodness, summer just flew by! I wanted to let everyone know that I am planning on being quite busy the next month or 2 with events to show the world my love of Lilla Rose. My real plan is to attend one per month, but I just can't seem to say no.

I will be at the North Canton Main Street Festival this weekend.

Next Sunday, I will be at the GlenOak Cheerleader Quarter Auction. Tickets are still available! $5 from me or $7 at the door.

I am also hosting my own event on September 11! Boy, is this an eye opener, but fun too.
