Tween Tuesday

Phew! It's getting hot outside. Time to get some cool summer fashions. Again, for the nail polish, I went sparkly, yet neutral. I thought about the yellow polish, but for a tween, I feel those nail colors are.not appropriate, although if you feel it is fine, there is one called Primary Yellow, and boy is it!
I happen to own Happy Anniversary, which is in the list today. It is much more sheer than the website shows. My daughter and I usually put it as a sheer layer over another sheer neutral or cream color.

Modest Feminine Plus Size Nursing Momma Wednesday

As always, it seems, I start with a basic color and give it a little pop. Today we are in navy and give it a boost with a Cayenne colored cardigan. Again, lately I tend to go more for the surplice top dresses and put a half tee underneath.

Beautiful writing pages...link

I just came across this, this morning and knew I needed to share it! They are beautiful pages that can be used for journaling or even to make homeschool writing assignments more interesting and beautiful. Because these are free, for the time being, I am printing off a set to keep to photo copy if ever needed.

LuLaRoe clothing

A few months ago, I was introduced to a new line of clothing. I waited and waited to share this with you, because I mistakenly thought that I need to purchase from one consultant, which now I know is far from the truth. If you are on Facebook, you will be able to purchase the clothes, otherwise, you will have to seek the consultants in your area for their Pop-Up Boutiques. If you are on Facebook, please start your LuLaRoe clothing searches with my friend, Theresa, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1707455732863569/. Otherwise, just type in the search LuLaRoe, and hundreds of pages will pop up. Every consultant has different items. No 2 consultants have the same colors, prints, etc. For modesty, I have chosen the Maxi as my favorite skirt and the Classic T as my favorite shirt. For sizing, I would recommend going down at least 1 size.

LuLaRoe Maxi

The leggings are a big feature of the clothing line up. There are kid and adult sizes. I wear the TC (Tall & Curvy), and they are wonderful. Be aware that they do have solid colors as well as all the funky prints you could ever dream up and more. I wear the solid color leggings under my, below the knee, jean skirts on cooler days of the year. There is definitely something for everyone, even pizza leggings...

Classic T (my unicorn)

Lilla Rose goes well with LuLaRoe (yes it is a tongue twister and gets very confusing for vendor events...). Not only can you coordinate your hair accessories with the clothes, you can put a clip on the bottom hem of the shirt, like girls used to use scrunchies in the 80's. www.lillarose.biz/beequabutterfly

Modest Feminine Plus Size Nursing Momma Wednesday

Today, I felt I needed to follow what makes me feel pretty. Pink is my absolute favorite color. If you could look at my closet (and a few rooms in our home) you would have no doubt that is my favorite, much to my husband's chagrin.

This dress has a surplice front, which is great for nursing, but too low for modesty, which is why I have added a half tee to put underneath. I often wear this type of dress and also put a regular shirt over top. Either way, surplice dresses seem the way to go.

So, here I give you, Pretty in Pink.

Modest Feminine Plus Size Nursing Momma Wednesday

Some of you may be wondering why I do not post necklaces, other than teething jewelry, or dangle earrings. I don't feel that that type of jewelry is good for mom or baby. It is a major distraction when you have a nursling who wants to grab anything and everything. I have not worn necklaces or and dangle earrings for almost 10 years, as I have always had a nursling. Do I miss wearing them? Not really. I have figured out that this season of life is about my nurslings, and not me. I don't feel jewelry really makes or breaks an outfit. Most days, I just have my Bravado Essential Tank (which they discontinued...) to hide my midriff, knit shirt, and a long skirt on, and I am set. If I go out of the house, I slip on a pair of Birki's, yes, even in the dead of winter, unless there is a lot of snow on the ground, and I'm good to go.
I also will not be posting any make up, as I do not feel the need to wear that either, which I blogged about a couple years ago. I do occasionally wear nail polish, but even that is limited, which is why I may or may not show an OPI polish. OPI is the best polish without all of the terrible chemicals in it that seems to last. This is the only brand of polish I personally recommend.

For those who celebrate Mother's Day, this would be very pretty to wear to brunch. The Thirty-One tote seems like it would great for a mini diaper bag.

I finally found a website that has modest knee length and mid calf skirts for girls! Today's skirt you can dress up or down. I added a pair of under shorts to help with modesty for younger or more rambunctious girls.

Be sure to check out my new videos by my daughter and me on YouTube

The best citrus

A few years ago, I found the company that used to supply my private Christian school with citrus, straight from Florida. I love that I can get the ripe, straight off the tree fruit. I don't have to wonder how long it has been sitting in the stores.
Al's Family Farms has free shipping right now for their mega tray. They are also getting ready to ship Vidalia onions straight from the source.
I thought I would pass this along to my readers.
